Lassan 8 éve dolgozom a körmös szakmában. Előtte és némi átfedéssel 15 évig gyógypedagógusként, halmozottan sérült, Rett-szindrómás gyermekekkel foglalkoztam. Az újításokat, kezdő lépéseket ott is nagy szeretettel vittem véghez, mert egy fontos mondás végig kíséri az életemet:
„Ne a járt úton haladj, hanem inkább abba az irányba indulj el, amerre még senki sem járt előtted, és te hagyj magad után lábnyomokat.”

Ezt a tanácsot megfogadtam, bár kezdőként sok problémával küszködtem, mind az építés, mind a díszítés terén. Harcoltam a fellevegősödés ellen, és az idővel is, de a munkáimmal szépen lassan feltornáztam magam a közkedvelt körmösök közé. Ez az idő alázatra, türelemre, kitartásra és folyamatos fejlődésre tanított engem.
Kikísérleteztem a porcelán virágocskáimat, és már kezdőként is készítettem ilyen virágokkal díszített ékszereket. Tulajdonképpen kidíszítettem a mobiltelefontól a golyóstollig mindent, ami szembe jött.
2009-ben megtanultam az akrilfestés alapjait, és hamarosan a nevemhez kötődött egy kis sematikus lepke, amit könnyen lemásolhatott bárki. Sok dolog pattant ki a fejemből az elmúlt évek alatt: a stiletto-medál, a dupla szirmú porcelán virágok, a 3D zselés virágaim, a kagyló-sziget (kagylólapból készített körömékszer), a zselé-porcelán-zselé technika (mert a gyönyörű színes porcelánporok a zselével dolgozók fantáziáját is megmozgatta), sokáig a műkörömbe beépített porcelánvirágok és később a beépített kagylólapos stiletto körmök lettek a védjegyeim.
Ezzel párhuzamosan, szinte magától formálódott meg a kezem alatt egy speciális forma, a KKSP(Kalmár Krisztina Stiletto-Pipe). Tulajdonképpen két formát gyúrtam össze, amik abban az időben divatosak voltak: a pipe és a stiletto. 2010-ben Magyarországon még csak néhány körömformát ismertünk: kocka, pipe, mandula, stiletto. Az edge (Valentina Denisenko által kifejlesztett körömforma) csak épphogy beviharzott kishazánkba.
A KKSP a különböző körömformák legjobb tulajdonságait viseli magán. A stiletto karcsúságát, a pipe hajlítottságát, az Edge egyenességét, és ezek által csodálatos vékonyságát, tartósságát. Fontos, hogy akkor a legszebb, ha minimum egy rövidebb sablon hosszú (tehát ha a köröm teljes hossza minimum 3-3,5 cm)
A nevét nem én adtam, hanem egy Magyarországon ismert és elismert oktató – Molnár Erzsók - aki felkért, hogy a rendezvényükön mutassam be az új körömformám. A bemutató végén felajánlotta, hogy a közönség előtt adjunk nevet a formának. A köröm tulajdonságait felsorolva elnevezte Kalmár Krisztina Stiletto-Pipenak (KKSP-nek). Így most köszönetet mondok ezért a csodás névért Neked, Erzsók.
Ez a forma hetek alatt a vendégeim, barátaim kedvence lett, mert gyermek- és harisnyabarát, de karcsú és szépen díszíthető, és kivétel nélkül minden hölgy kezét gyönyörű nőiessé teszi.
2012 augusztusában egy reggel megszületett a Powder-Aquarell, amikor a porcelánporokkal festünk, így egy rendkívül látványos, és vékony díszítési technika került a repertoárba. Ugyanebben az évben kiegészült a porcelán alapanyagokból készített ékszereim kínálata az apró békával és a teknősbékával, ami közkedvelt tanfolyammá vált rövid időn belül.
2013 nyarán pedig az angyalkáim megsúgták, hogyan készíthetek igazán könnyen a térből kiemelkedő 3 dimenziós virágokat, rózsákat illetve a porcelán lepkém is világra jött nagy rajongótábort alakítva.
Azóta nagyon sok idő telt el, és ma már szinte minden technikában megpróbálok helytállni, sok gyakorlás és tanulás vezetett idáig. Megszerettem a zselés festést is, és kialakítottam egy új népművészeti festéshez hasonló stílust, a Folk Art-ot. Igyekszem mindig megújulni, és főleg olyan tanárrá válni, akire jó szívvel emlékeznek a tanítványai. Hiszen halhatatlanná akkor válsz, ha tudásod átadása által másokban tovább élsz.

It’s been almost 8 years that I’ve been working with nails. Before that, and with a slight overlap, I was a special education teacher for 15 years, helping severely handicapped children suffering from Rett syndrome. Even there, I was very eager to implement innovations and initial steps, as there is an important line that has been with me all throughout my life:

I took that piece of advice, even though I was facing many problems as a beginner, both in sculpting and in decorating. I was fighting against lifting and against time, but gradually I was able to work my way up to be ranked with the popular nail artists. During this period, I learned to be modest, patient and persistent and to always keep improving myself.
I invented my little 3D flowers, and made jewelry decorated with these flowers even when I was still a beginner. Actually, I decorated pretty much everything that “came my way”, from cell phones to ballpoint pens.
In 2009, I learned the basics of painting with acrylics, and soon I came up with a little simplified butterfly that anybody could duplicate easily. Throughout the years, I originated many things, such as Stiletto Pendants, double-petal 3D Flowers, my 3D Gel Flowers, Shell Islands (fingernail jewelry made with shell plates), gel-acrylic-gel technique (as the beautiful and colorful shell plates also sparked the imagination of those working with gels). For a long time, 3D Flowers built into artificial nails were a trademark of mine, and later, stiletto nails with built in shell plates.
Along with all this, another very unique shape emerged from among my hands, almost all by itself – KKSP (Krisztina Kalmár Stiletto Pipe). In essence, I combined two different shapes that were popular at the time – pipe and stiletto. In Hungary in 2010 there were only a few nail shapes that were know to us: square, pipe, almond, stiletto. “Edge” (the nail shape created by Valentina Denisenko) had just freshly taken the country by storm.
KKSP incorporates the best features of all the various nail shapes: the slenderness of stiletto, the curved profile of pipe, the straightness of Edge (and thus its amazing thinness and longevity). It is important that it will look its nicest, if it is at least the length of a shorter form (i.e. if the overall length of the nail is at least 3-3.5 cm).
I didn’t name it: it was named by an instructor well-known and recognized in Hungary – Erzsók Molnár – who asked me to introduce my new nail shape at one of their events. After my presentation she suggested that we name the new nail shape right there, in front of the audience. After listing out the characteristics of the nail, she named it Krisztina Kalmár Stiletto Pipe (KKSP). So I’d like to thank you Erzsók, right here, for this wonderful name.
Within weeks, this shape became the favorite of my guests and my friends, as not only is it kid and nylons-friendly, but also slender and easy to decorate nicely, and it will make any lady’s hands beautiful and feminine.
One morning in 2012 Powder Aquarelle was born: painting with acrylic powders. With this, a spectacular as well as thin decorating technique was added to our repertoire. In that same year, my line of jewelry made using acrylic products had some new additions: the tiny frog and the turtle. These became a popular course very soon after. Then in the summer of 2013 my angels let me in on a super-easy way to create 3-dimensional flowers and roses that stick out, and also my acrylic butterfly was born, drawing a huge following.
It’s been a long time since then, and today I can hold my own in just about any technique there is. It took a lot of practice and learning to arrive at this point. I even got to like gel painting, and I created a new style that is similar to traditional folk painting, called “Folk Art”. I try and always keep things new and fresh, and I strive to become a teacher that students will always fondly remember, since one will reach immortality through continued existence in the knowledge handed down to others.
What I wish for you, my dear readers, is that you never give up, you practice a lot, and that you always regard work and other people with modesty and respect. This is the key to success!

Son ya casi 8 años los que he estado trabajando con uñas. Antes de eso, y como una pequeña coincidencia, fuí maestra de educación especial por 15 años, ayudando a niños severamente discapacitados por el síndrome de Rett. Incluso ahí siempre estuve muy ansiosa de implementar innovaciones y dar los primeros pasos, ya que existe una línea muy importante que ha estado conmigo durante toda mi vida:

Tomé éste consejo, y me enfrenté a muchos problemas como principiante, en ambas, escultura y decoración. Peleé en contra de los desprendimientos y en contra del tiempo, pero eventualmente logré subir y ser clasificada dentro de las artistas de uñas más populares. Durante éste periodo aprendí a ser modesta, paciente y persistente y a siempre mejorar yo misma.
Inventé mis pequeñas flores 3D e hice joyería decorada con éstas flores cuando aún era una principiante. De hecho, decoré casi todo lo que tenía a la mano, desde celulares hasta lapiceros.
En el 2009, aprendí lo básico en pintura con acrílicos, y pronto realicé una mariposa simple y pequeña que cualquiera podía replicar muy fácil. A través de los años, inicié muchas cosas como dijes de stiletto, flores 3D de doble pétalo, mis flores de gel 3D, Islas de concha (joyería para las uñas hecha de lámina de concha nácar), técnica gel-acrílico-gel (ya que las hermosas y coloridas láminas de concha nácar también provocaron la imaginación de aquellos que trabajan con geles). Por mucho tiempo, las flores 3D encapsuladas en uñas artificiales fueron mi marca personal, y después, las uñas stiletto con lámina de concha nácar encapsulada.
Junto a ésto, otra forma muy única se creó entre mis manos, casi por sí misma - KKSP (Krisztina Kalmár Stiletto Pipe). En esencia, combiné dos diferentes formas que fueron muy populares en su momento - pipe y stiletto. En el 2010 en Hungría habían muy pocas formas que eran conocidas para nosotros: cuadrada, pipe, almond, stiletto. La forma "Edge" (creada por Valentina Denisenko) apenas triunfaba en el país.
KKSP incorpora las mejores características de varias formas de uñas: la esbeltez de la stiletto, el perfil curvo de la pipe, la rectitud de la edge (y su increíble delgadez y duración). Es importante que se vea de lo mejor si acaso su largo fuese de una forma corta (ej. si el largo total de la uña fuese de 3-3.5cm por lo menos).
No le puse nombre: Fué nombrada por una instructora muy popular y reconocida en Hungría - Erzsók Molnár - quien me pidió introducir mi nueva forma de uña en uno de sus eventos. Después de mi presentación ella sugirió que nombráramos la nueva forma de uña ahí mismo, frente a la audiencia. Después de enlistar las características de la uña, ella la nombró Krisztina Kálmar Stiletto Pipe (KKSP). Así que, me gustaría agradecerte Erzsók, aquí mismo, por éste nombre tan maravilloso.
En semanas, ésta forma se transformó en la favorita de mis invitados y amigos, no solo es cómoda y fácil de portar, sino también esbelta, fácil de decorar, y hará hermosas y femeninas las manos de cualquier dama.
Una mañana del 2012 nació la acuarela en polvo: pintura con polvos acrílicos. Y con ésto, una espectacular y también delgada técnica de decoración fué añadida a nuestro repertorio. En ése mismo año, mi línea de joyería utilizando productos acrílicos tuvo nuevas adiciones: la pequeña rana y la tortuga. se volvió un curso muy popular casi enseguida. Después, en el verano del 2013 mis ángeles me guiaron para crear una manera súper fácil de crear flores 3-dimensionales y rosas sobresalientes, y también mi mariposa nació, dibujando un gran comienzo.
Ya hace mucho tiempo desde entonces, y hoy en día puedo mantenerme a mí misma en casi cualquier técnica que existe. Me llevó mucho tiempo de práctica y aprendizaje el llegar a éste momento. Incluso me tuvo que gustar pintar con gel y así crear un nuevo estilo parecido a la pintura folk tradicional llamada "Folk Art". Trato y siempre mantengo cosas frescas y nuevas, y me esfuerzo para ser la maestra que mis estudiantes siempre recordarán pues uno alcanza la inmortalidad a través de la contínua existencia del conocimiento transmitido hacia otros.
Lo que deseo para ustedes, mis queridos lectores, es que nunca se rindan, que practiquen mucho y que siempre traten el trabajo y a otra gente con modestia y respeto. Ésta es la llave del éxito!
